Tevez plans to take Independiente to court: “They lied to me, I went there for free”

Carlos Tevez is back in the spotlight. This is not a new chapter as a coach, given that no club has currently knocked on the Argentine coach’s door in the last period; nor did he participate in a tribute match. No, El Apache spoke to media present at an impromptu press conference at Ezeiza airport to shoot at Juan Roman Riquelmethe president of Boca, and the managers ofIndependent five months after his resignation.

In May the former Juventus striker chose to separate from the Argentine club after several short circuits and some situations in particular, such as that memorable match against Barracas Central, while with the managers and some players of the squad the Argentine had reached the end of the line. A cycle that began in 2023 which led to salvation from relegation, but unfortunately this year they were unable to achieve their objectives.

But a few hours ago Tevez broke the silence and clarified that his departure was due to problems with the management and above all economic ones: “I went to Independiente for free. They lied to me. They say I owe money and they didn’t pay me. If the issue isn’t resolved, I will go in court”, accused the former Boca Juniors player. Furthering the point in closing: “I am analyzing the situation. I went at the worst time and the managers disappointed me”, the words taken from TyC Sports.

Finally a comment on the current management of Boca: “It’s very difficult to give an opinion almost always from this side, especially knowing that you don’t identify with those responsible. I was at Boca when this management hit us hard when we didn’t do well in the Libertadores or when we were out.”
