Taranto towards the change of ownership, the director Lucchesi says goodbye: “My work is finished”

My work is done. I said goodbye to the team and with a bit of emotion I leave a city that has bewitched me. I wish Taranto and its fans the best.” Thus speaks the general director of the Apulian club Fabrizio Lucchesi to the microphones of South antenna effectively confirming that the sale of the club to a US fund is now in the pipeline: “It was an expected decision, I arrived for a transitional period and I had to work to put the club in an attractive condition to attract buyers. – explains the director – The club now has management costs reduced to the limit and the team is slowly getting back to normal. Now there is the possibility of sale or not, but it is not something that concerns me, but rather the ownership, which either regains possession of the club or sells it.”

Then there is space for the moment that the team is experiencing: “Gautieri has shown a desire to deal with a difficult reality and with a team that did not exist. It wasn’t easy to find such a coach. A result also came out on Sunday that rewarded the work done so far, then it will be necessary to improve the squad, but we will think about it in January.”

Finally, Lucchesi focuses on the relationship with the city: “I was well received, this city bewitched me and I wish the club and its fans the best. I place this experience among the best of my career and I wish Serie B for Taranto. – concludes the manager – If this work had started 15 or 20 days earlier we would have set up a stronger team, but now I will support them from afar whatever ownership there is. I tell the fans to stay close to this club, this team and these guys because they can do a lot”.
