Daniel Maldini debuts in the national team. On Monday, the Monza striker wore the blue shirt like his father Paolo and his grandfather Cesare. Interviewed by today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, Leonardo Semplici he recounted his experience when he coached him at the time of Spezia:
“I didn’t know him well, but his superior qualities quickly emerged. I had him play as a winger, in my opinion the ideal role. Unfortunately he got injured and missed the final phase of the championship. Daniel has great human qualities and absolute values technical and athletic. He is very good one-on-one.”
