Icelandic second striker Albert Gudmundsson gave an interview to the newspaper ‘La Repubblica’. The former Genoa footballer was acquitted of sexual assault against a woman: “It was a difficult period but the important thing is to stay positive. I have also read many books on the growth mindset and I advise everyone to do so “
Then in another passage Gudmundsson spoke about the choice he made this summer to move to Fiorentina: “The main reason for my choice is that Fiorentina had shown interest in me since January and were very eager to sign me. They tried to do everything to get me to come here but it wasn’t the right time for some reasons. Then for the whole summer they called me, together with my agent, and courted me in every way. All this gave me the right motivation and I never had any doubts.”
The Icelandic footballer inherited the number 10 shirt at Fiorentina: “Wearing the number ten shirt is an honor for me. Baggio, Rui Costa, Antognoni: I feel the affection of the fans and the importance given to this shirt.” Born in ’97, Gudmundsson moved to Fiorentina this summer on a costly loan for 8 million euros, with the right to buy for 17 million euros plus a 3.5 million bonus.
