England, the Tuchel era begins: today at 2.30pm the FA has called a press conference

Thomas Tuchel he will be the next coach of the English national team. The 51-year-old has reached an agreement with the FA and will replace Lee Carsley, who was appointed interim manager for the last four matches played by the FA Three Lions after the farewell of Gareth Southgate, hurt by the second consecutive defeat in a European Championship final.

The appointment of Tuchel, former manager of Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, will be announced within a few hours: as reported by BBC the FA has called a press conference for this afternoon at 2.30pm. It remains to be seen whether Thomas Tuchel will be present, although his appointment will be confirmed by Mark Bullingham, FA CEO.

The former Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain coach, who waited in vain for nods from Manchester United, will thus become the third foreign coach in the history of the English national team after Sven-Göran Eriksson and Fabio Capello.
