Cesena, ankle problems for Kargbo: his presence with Sampdoria is in doubt

“Cesena, Kargbo in doubt for the match against Sampdoria”, he wrote this morning Il Resto del Carlino. The Juventus striker Augustus Kargbo he suffered a sprained ankle, fortunately without ligament damage. This is the result of the tests he underwent yesterday. Kargbo has already started the recovery journey with a personalized program, which will continue today with differentiated training sessions. His availability for Sunday’s match against Sampdoria remains uncertain and will be monitored day by day. The player had felt discomfort during finishing before Sierra Leone’s match against Ivory Coast last Friday. Due to this problem, the national team’s medical staff decided to rest him.

After it was established that he would not be available for the second match against Ivory Coast either, Kargbo was sent back to Italy. He returned to Cesena on Sunday evening and underwent further tests yesterday. The injured ankle is the same one that was hit during an intervention by Fermana defender Heinz in February, forcing Kargbo to miss two matches.
