Ben Yedder on trial for rape: the prosecutor asks for 2 and a half years in prison

The trial of the accused took place today Wissam Ben Yedder. The striker, who was released after his experience at Monaco, was held in precautionary custody at the beginning of September following a complaint of sexual violence made by a young woman. The player was arrested in Cap d’Ail driving his vehicle on the night between Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September by the Gendarmerie for “sexual assault, refusal to stop and driving while intoxicated”.

The French international, three goals in 19 appearances, must therefore answer to more accusations and, secondly RMC SportsThe public prosecutor would have asked for two years and six months of imprisonment, of which 18 months were suspended. The final ruling is expected on November 12th.

Ben Yedder was already accused of rape last year, spending 48 hours in pre-trial detention between 8 and 10 August 2023.
