La Stampa: “From Udine and Trieste to Euro 2032: Italy is a candidate to be the home of football”

The Italy of football has decided to take to the field as rarely in the past and within the descent onto the pitch there are suggestive pages and chapters already written, we read on The Press. Becoming the cradle or home of football from next June to 2032 is an ambitious project, but only by raising the bar can we then achieve something. One fact is already established and known: we will host the European Championships on the agenda in eight seasons in half with Turkey. In Rome, Milan and Turin there will be three of our five, or six, plants, the others will come from a defined list.

We are the country of doing only when the ultimatum is triggered, the goal is to equip ourselves with innovative and digital stadiums now that Euro 2032 is real. In addition to this, there are Udine and Trieste which are the candidate cities to host the Final Four next June 2025, the Champions League 2027, with the Olimpico in Rome which is a candidate as the stadium for the final in place of the “rejected” San Siro, and finally the 2029 Women’s European Championships, with Italy as a candidate to host the event despite the competition being tough.
