Returning to his homeland to respond to the call-up of the Polish national team, Pawel Dawidowiczcentral defender ofHellas Veronagave an interview to the portal Przegląd Sportowy revealing that he had thought about saying goodbye to playing football in recent times:
“Some time ago I received the news that a big club was following me. ‘They are seriously interested, play three or four more good games and it will happen’ they told me. I played two matches and crack, injury (2021/2022 season, ed.). Shortly after I had a moment where I realized I was really tired of football. I spent more time with the doctor than on the field, instead of joy there was pain, there was doubt.
Then, at the beginning of the year, I changed my diet. Since then, I have had no serious muscle injuries. This diet is probably crucial. Physically I feel good now, I’m not afraid that something will happen to me at any moment.”
