Erlic: “With Bologna everything happened in a short time. I hope to stay in Italy for a long time”

The defender of Bologna and the Croatian national team Martin Erlic spoke at the press conference about his adaptation to Italy: “I’ve been in Italy for a long time, I managed myself well and one of my objectives was to stay there. With Bologna everything happened in a short time, I’m happy to have stayed and to continue to playing in Italy. I hope I made good use of the minutes available, I know the coach and the higher the competition, the better I feel. It’s up to me to work and take advantage of the opportunity.”

The central defender then focused on his work in the national team: “I started well, I think I deserved it with my work and my tenacity, I want to continue like this. I know there is a lot of competition in the national team, but I just have to keep working and I hope there are more medals. Skorupski? He is a very good goalkeeper, especially on the goal line.

When Modric scored his goal in Osijek, I had a little joke with him, I told him he made a good mistake. I hope he isn’t at the same high level as he is at the club, but he is an excellent goalkeeper. Play three in defense? I did it for two months at Sassuolo with Mr. Ballardini and I felt good. I hope there is an opportunity for me.”
