Kvaratskhelia’s dreams: “Winning the Champions League with Napoli and reaching the World Cup with Georgia”

“I dream of winning the Champions League with my club.” Word of Khvicha Kvaratskheliawho gave a long interview to the official FIFA channels. Many topics were touched upon, including the dreams to be realized on the pitch with Napoli and the national team: “I always dreamed of becoming a professional footballer, but at the beginning it didn’t seem true to me. When I went to watch the national team I never imagined that one day I would be on the field too, with other children supporting me from the stands. I learned that everything is possible in life, as long as you have the conviction and will to do everything to make it happen. Dreams come true fulfilled his dream by becoming a footballer and playing for his country.”

What does it mean to you to be able to represent Georgia?
“I want to be useful to my country. Considering what I do today, I believe that I am helping Georgia and Georgia is helping me. I am immensely proud to be Georgian. I thank God that I was born in Georgia and that I am a son of this historic country. I will always do my best to make my country proud, no matter what happens next.”

Now the Nations League, then the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. How much would you like to play in the next World Cup?
“In recent months we have shown that Georgia can give a lot. We will do everything to realize our dream of playing in the World Cup. We believe we can qualify and this is the main thing. We have the skills and character to turn this dream into reality” .

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s next biggest dream?
“Most of all, I dream of qualifying for the World Cup with Georgia and winning the Champions League with my club. I hope to turn these dreams into reality. Winning the most important trophy in club football is every footballer’s dream, and participating at the World Cup is what every Georgian dreams of. I believe it would be a fitting tribute to all those who represented Georgia in the past. We want to continue on their path, achieve this goal and make our country proud.”
