Given the communication from Federal Prosecutor’s Office relating to the provision to conclude the investigations referred to in proceeding no. 192 pf 24-25 adopted against Messrs PELLIGRA Rosary, Vincenzo GRELLAand of society CATANIA FC SRLconcerning the following conduct:
ROSARIO PELLIGRA, at the time of the facts President with powers of representation of the company Catania FC srl, in violation of the art. 4, paragraph 1, of the Sports Justice Code in relation to the provisions of Annex A, par. 2, of the Official Press Release n. 255/A of the FIGC of 14 June 2024, for having failed, by the deadline of 9 August 2024, to provide a suitable supplementary guarantee to cover 40% of the excess of the amount of compensation compared to Euro 1,000,000.00 gross, fixed and variable, of the players, technicians and sports directors registered with the Catania FC srl company;
VINCENZO GRELLA, at the time of the facts Vice President with powers of representation of the company Catania FC srl, in violation of the art. 4, paragraph 1, of the Sports Justice Code, in relation to the provisions of Annex A, par. 2, of the Official Press Release n. 255/A of the FIGC of 14 June 2024, for having failed, by the deadline of 9 August 2024, to provide a suitable supplementary guarantee covering 40% of the excess compared to Euro 1,000,000.00 of the amount of gross remuneration , fixed and variable, of the footballers, technicians and sports directors registered with the Catania FC srl company;
CATANIA FCSRL, for direct liability pursuant to art. 6, paragraph 1, of the Sports Justice Code, as a company for which at the time of the facts described in the previous charge Messrs. Rosario Pelligra and Vincenzo Grella were members; as well as for its own responsibility pursuant to the provisions of Annex A, par. 2, of the Official Press Release n. 255/A of the FIGC of 14 June 2024;
− having seen the request for application of the sanction pursuant to art. 126 of the Sports Justice Code, formulated by Messrs. Rosario PELLIGRA and Vincenzo GRELLA on their own behalf and, as legal representative, on behalf of the company CATANIA FC SRL;
− having seen the information sent to the Attorney General for Sport;
− having regard to the provision of consent by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office;
− noted that the Federal President did not formulate any observations regarding the agreement reached by the parties relating to the application of the sanction of 45 (forty-five) days of inhibition for Mr. Rosario PELLIGRA, of 45 (forty-five) days of inhibition for Mr. . Vincenzo GRELLA, and 1 (one) penalty point to be served in the relevant championship for the company CATANIA FC SRL;
the agreement as mentioned above is announced.
