Carpi, Bernardi: “The square is hungry for football. Cassifica reflects values on the pitch”

TMW Radio

The sporting director of Carpi, Marco Bernardispoke to the microphones of TMW Radio during the transmission To All C.

Did you expect this ranking after the first few days? How important was it to confirm the blocking of the promotion?
“Certainly for us, giving continuity to the project after being promoted was very important. Continuity for me in football is always important. In fact, the inclusion of new ones also helps because you enter a score that already works. For me the ranking reflects the values on the pitch. Calendar-wise we had a difficult start.”

You never make mistakes at home, how much does the home-based factor weigh?
“So much because Carpi is hungry for football. There is significant enthusiasm and there is a desire to be on a stage like C. Last year the championship victory was built at home and this season too the home factor is having its weight.”

The victory away from home, however, has been missing for 6 months. Is the match against Pianese the right opportunity?
“We hope to dispel the taboo. It’s a complicated team to face and it won’t be easy. They also have a very important field experience. We are working every day to dispel this taboo.”

Lots of goals from the bench
“I agree. These are keys we have been working on since the beginning of the season. It’s important to understand that you always have to stay in the game because in this championship it’s fundamental. The coach often emphasizes this point, making it clear that whoever comes in later can be decisive. This, fortunately and cleverly, has happened more than once. If I’m not mistaken in the statistics we are among the first to have scored goals from the bench. Whoever enters must always be ready.”

The League, with the figure of Marani, has always been close to you
“From my experience I can say that there is more and more visibility and the league is always giving support quickly. This helps the whole system. Visibility, then, is essential to always move forward for this category. We know that sustainability in this league is not easy but we still have to try and the league, by working in this way, is helping us.”
