Salernitana, Valencia always on the margins: two interests emerge from Chile, but they want Europe

In the summer Diego Valenciawho returned from his loan at Atromitos, was in the balance for a long time between confirmation and a new farewell with the sporting director Petrachi who tried to find him a place elsewhere, like almost all the members of the ‘old guard’, while appreciating the maximum commitment shown by the Chilean since the first day of retirement.

The striker born in 2000, who played five matches, also scoring an important goal against Sampdoria, however rejected the offers from some European clubs and Israel and gradually ended up on the fringes of the team coached by Martusciello and now he will have to wait until January to find a place that will allow him to play.

As reported Tuttosalernitana.it in fact, at the moment it seems unlikely that an agreement will be found for the termination of the contract expiring in 2026 and so everything is postponed until the reopening of the market with two Chilean clubs having asked for information in this regard. One of the possible destinations is in fact the Universidad Catolica from which Salernitana took him and with which he scored 31 goals in 132 appearances, while the other leads to another big club like Colo Colo. Valencia’s priority, however, is to remain in Europe or perhaps even in Italy.
