Genoa, Miretti remains in Pegli to train. Injuries ruled out for Bani after the exams

At Genoa, the attendance is being counted after the thunderous defeat against Atalanta, which brought the morale of Gilardino’s team down. The Football Federation has announced that Fabio Miretti he did not respond to the Under 21 call-up ‘due to unavailability’. But no new injuries for the former Juventus midfielder, fresh from a long period of absence in the summer due to a broken foot and then a muscle problem: in agreement with the Football Federation and once he has recovered from a small ailment, he will remain training at the Signorini to continue the recovery program: it is revealed by 19th century.

The team resumed training in Pegli yesterday: Bani stopped during the match against Atalanta due to a muscle problem but the tests he underwent ruled out injuries, so he could recover quickly. Gilardino hopes to have Frendrup and Messias back for the match against Bologna, scheduled for October 19th.

So far, Genoa has paid a high price for the many injuries: from Malinovskyi’s injury to the muscular problems that have affected many players: from Messias to Zanoli, from Badelj to Ekuban. The break will be useful to get at least some of the many absent players back on track and perhaps to improve the condition of Melegoni, included in the list in place of the Ukrainian, whose season is over.
