Daniel Maldini: “Attacking midfielder, second striker or winger: up front I can play anywhere”

What is your role? Who do you have to say thank you to for being here? These are two of the questions asked at the press conference Daniel Maldiniattacking midfielder of Monza at his first call up to the national team. These are his answers: “To the people who have always been close to me, if we reach certain goals it’s also thanks to them. For the role: in attack, anything really suits me, perhaps an attacking midfielder, but I’m also fine as a winger or second striker , it changes me very little.”

Do you think you reached maturity at the right time? What would you like to bring to this national team?
“I really think so, now is the right time to be here. This call came at the perfect time, I feel good on the pitch and with the team. Italy is a team with incredible quality, I hope to help out in in any case: I want to bring my quality but I also want to sacrifice myself for this team.”

Do you want to say a few words about Palladino and Nesta?
“Mister Palladino has always welcomed me as well as the rest of the team, he has helped me believe in my potential. With Nesta we have been together for a while now and I get along well with him too.”
