In the past few hours the name of Piergiuseppe Sapioformer director of the Foggiahas emerged as a possible new manager of the Taranto accompanying the transfer of ownership of the island club from Maximus Jupiter to a group of Tuscan entrepreneurs.
In response to this rumor, Sapio himself explained through his social channels (source South Antenna):
“In response to the insistent rumors that indicate me as the representative of a Tuscan group interested in acquiring ownership of Taranto Calcio, I am forced to categorically deny these statements. I would like to clarify my total non-involvement in this initiative. My involvement with Taranto Calcio is limited exclusively to the management of the youth sector, to which I am offering a free and disinterested contribution, moved only by affection for my city’s team. Therefore, I invite you to avoid further unsubstantiated quotes regarding me. Thank you”.
