Pescara triumphs in Ascoli on the eighth day of group B of Serie C. The team led by Silvio Baldini took the lead in the 19th minute of the first half thanks to a goal by Vergani, who dedicated the goal to his teammate Lonardi, out due to injury. In the second half, the match heated up within two minutes: in the 55th minute Corazza, following a cross from Marsura, anticipated Pierozzi and scored the equalizer for Ascoli.
However, just two minutes later, in the 57th minute, Bentivegna scored the former’s goal, giving Pescara the three points. With this victory, the Abruzzo team moves to the top of the table with 20 points. Bitter debut for Domenico Di Carlo on the Ascoli bench, who remains stuck on 8 points, just above the playout zone.
