Serie B, Catanzaro-Modena: both looking for a turning point

Kick-off at 3pm. Live, report cards and voices of the protagonists on TMW!

Today at 3.00 pm the match between Catanzaro and Modena will take place, valid for the eighth day of the Serie B championship. Both teams are looking for points to gain momentum in the standings: the Giallorossi have 7 points and will try to exploit the “Ceravolo” factor to regain the feeling with the three points. One more point for the yellow-blues, at 8, but with a home defeat to make up for.

How Catanzaro arrives
There are two points won by the Caserta team in the last three matches: between the two draws won away, the last home match saw the Calabrians surrender to Cremonese. The coach will be able to change something, also due to the withdrawal of Iemmello and Pagano. Pigliacelli will be in goal, with Cassandro, Brighenti, Antonini and Situm in front of the goalkeeper. Pontisso’s recovery could bring him back from the 1st minute to midfield with Petriccione, while on the flanks Compagnon and D’Alessandro will provide push. Biasci, in attack, will team up with Pittarello.

How Modena arrives
After the two matches played within friendly walls, the Canaries return to away matches and will do so with more than a few absences. Bisoli, in fact, does not recover Defrel and will also have to give up Caso and Gliozzi. Between the posts there will be Gagno, while behind Beyuku he could prevail over Dellavalle, with Zaro, Caldara and Idrissi completing the department. Battistella returns from the first minute, paired with Santoro: a confirmed trio in front with Palumbo, Duca and Bozhanaj behind the lone striker Abiuso. Di Pardo, partially recovered, will start on the bench.
