Intensity, spectacle and missed penalties: anything happens to Franchi, Fiorentina beats Milan 2-1

At the Franchi it ends 2-1 between Fiorentina and Milan.

Crazy first half, two penalties saved and a goal from the former player – Before the match a minute’s silence is observed in memory of Franco Chimenti, former president of Lazio among others, then the match begins. The two teams are lined up like a mirror and right from the start there is a good number of individual duels. In one of these Leao overpowers Dodo and forces him to receive a very early yellow card, in the 8th minute. The first attempt of the match is AC Milan’s, with Morata who heads Royal’s good cross wide. On the opposite side a little later Colpani tries to come on from afar, without precision. Key episode just before the twentieth, when Theo Hernandez is anticipated by Dodo and kicks him in the middle of the area: Pairetto had not seen anything, but called for review by VAR, he orders the penalty. This time Kean takes the shot, but is neutralized by Maignan who also allows himself the luxury of blocking and in doing so keeps the score at 0-0. Just before the half hour mark Leao is also seen shooting, but finds De Gea. So the match really comes to an end and former Adli takes care of it with a great diagonal shot from the left that leaves Maignan stunned: the scorer of the 1-0 doesn’t rejoice. And if the Viola first saw Kean’s potential double goal canceled out and then Colpani’s chance of doubling vanished, just before injury time Milan had a great chance of equalising. Ranieri knocks out Reijnders in the penalty area, Theo Hernandez appears on the spot but hits De Gea. Franchi’s crazy first half ends 1-0.

Another missed penalty, Gudmundsson then decides – The second half starts again at a thousand miles per hour and after 4 minutes Franchi celebrates again, this time Kean has scored but also on this occasion he is found to be offside. In the 54th minute Pairetto whistled the third penalty of the evening, the second in favor of Milan: Kean’s tackle on Gabbia in the penalty area was punished. This time Abraham shows up for execution, but he too finds his way blocked by a majestic De Gea. However, the Spanish goalkeeper can’t really do anything about the soft, precise and lethal touch of Pulisic who, on the hour mark, sneaks into the Rossoneri area and directs Theo Hernandez’s cross into the net to make it 1-1. There’s no time to rest: Kean gets the ball to overtake on Kean’s right but he wastes it. Violations then protested for a possible penalty foul by Theo Hernandez on Colpani in the 70th minute, which was not whistled and on which VAR did not intervene. The game is at a crazy pace and in the 73rd minute Fiorentina overtakes, signed by Gudmundsson: first goal from action by the Icelander in purple, who cools Maignan with a sharp, angled right-footed shot for the 2-1. A final full of tense nerves and explosions on the pitch, including the one that cost Palladino the expulsion for an attacking foul called on Kean on the restart. The home center forward himself almost closed the score in injury time with a missile from the edge which however crashed onto the crossbar. It won’t help, however: Fiorentina wins 2-1 against Milan.
