Parma, Pecchia: “We have wasted in the last few matches, but now the team is very good”

Live TMW

12.15 – It’s Christmas Eve in the Parma house. Tomorrow at 3pm the Crociati will be involved in the Emilian derby against Bologna. A special challenge for Mr. Pecchia, who lived in Bologna first as a footballer and for years as a resident, together with his family. But above all, a fundamental challenge for his boys, looking for redemption after a series of disappointing results. We need a strong response from the group, which is called upon to unite in the face of difficulties and react. In a few minutes, mister Fabio Pecchia will present the challenge at a press conference. Follow his words live, thanks to LIVE! Of TMW.

12.33 – The press conference begins.

Did you work on your head or body?
“I’m fine because the team is fine, it was consistent compared to the previous one, everyone was available in the best conditions. The team also worked well on a mental level.”

Have you explained to the kids how important it is to maintain balance?
“When the team is on the pitch they want to play to win, the reaction and the search for the third goal against Cagliari was positive. Then there are moments in which we need to be more ready to change the momentum of the match, this made us waste points on Monday and also in previous matches.”

Have you studied how to contain Freuler, the fulcrum of their game?
“I believe it’s not a question of individuals, but a Champions League-like Bologna, regardless of who plays. It’s a competitive squad, anyone can play, but I see a beautiful team, with courage and a precise identity. The whole team must be approached with care”.

Bologna deploys an elastic 4-3-3, with the inclusion of midfielders, can it put you in difficulty?
“Very flexible team, many rotations, many men up front, very aggressive, similar to Fiorentina in recent years. A team capable of doing the attacking phase well.”
