Has the group overcome the shock of De Rossi’s dismissal?
“Pellegrini explained well what happened and how he experienced the moment. In my opinion the boys are working very well and are very focused on what we are doing. I see many steps forward compared to what I expected. There are some details missing, but we I am. Both at the level of play and at the level of aggression to take on the opponent.”
How much does this team already feel like yours? How much has the team assimilated its preconceptions?
“Let’s go step by step. Some things were fine for me, others I want to change, but not distort them. The responses are very positive in that sense. On Thursday I wanted to let everyone play and see if the players who arrived this year are ready and we can count on them , how they react. We had a match with many good things, but we need to work better in many others. It’s true that we have little time to prepare for the matches: yesterday, for example, we trained with those who didn’t play, today we work on finishing. and tomorrow we hope to face it with the best intensity.”
