Muller: “No question marks with Kompany. We want the Champions League final”

The defeat in England against Aston Villa was the first setback of the season for Bayern Munich and VIncent Kompany. The Bavarian team started off great and immediately wants to forget the evening in Birmingham, as they say Thomas Müller: “We are on the right track. The defeat against Aston Villa hurts but it doesn’t break our legs. Thanks to the brilliant 9-2 victory against Dinamo Zagreb on the first matchday, Bayern have an excellent goal difference and are there six more games to improve our position in the standings.

I am convinced that we still have many victorious Champions League evenings ahead of us this season, chasing our great goal: the final to be played at home.” In addition to this, attention is obviously also turned to the Bundesliga: after Saturday’s draw last against the reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern wants to win again: “Against Bayer we showed what we are, the result does not really reflect how convincing the performance was”, explained the 2014 world champion, who then praised Vincent Kompany: “The work in training is good, we feel comfortable in the new system and we know exactly what the coach wants from us. There are no question marks currently, only exclamation marks.”

A dig, perhaps, aimed at former coach Thomas Tuchel who clashed with the Senators several times last season. Finally the promise: “We will do everything to give our fans something to celebrate with on the last weekend of the Oktoberfest.”
