Italy Under 20, Corradi’s squad for the Elite League: Pafundi the star, there is no Camarda

THE’Italy Under 20 Of Bernando Corradi will return to action against England and Portugal for theElite League. Below is the press release from the FIGC on its official website:

“The journey of the National Under 20 team in the Elite League starts again from Frosinone. On Thursday 10 October at 5pm, with free entry to the ‘Benito Stirpe’ stadium and live on RaiSport, the Azzurrini face England in the second home match after that in Rieti against Germany. The Frosinone test also falls within the scope of the collaboration agreement signed by the FIGC and the Lazio Region and which will also bring the National A team onto the field a few hours after Italy-England Under 20 at the Olympic stadium in Roma against Belgium in a match valid for the Nations League.

After having scored three points in the first two Elite League matches (before Rieti’s defeat against the Germans the 2-1 in Czechia was achieved thanks to goals from Luca Lipani and Aaron Ciammaglichella), Italy will be expected in this month of October from another double commitment: after Italy-England, in fact, the team will leave for Portugal where on Monday the 14th at 6pm in Coimbra (live on Vivo Azzurro TV) they will face the Portuguese of the same age.

For the two matches against England and Portugal, coach Bernardo Corradi has called up 22 players, who will gather in Fiuggi on the evening of Sunday 6 October.

FIFA, meanwhile, has made official the dates of the final phase of the Under 20 World Cup in Chile: it will be played from 27 September to 19 October 2025.

THE PROGRAM Training is scheduled for Wednesday 9th at 11am (behind closed doors) at the ‘Benito Stirpe’ stadium, which will be followed at 12.45pm by a mixed zone in which Bernardo Corradi and a player will be available to the media.

It will be the third time that the Under 20 national team will play in Frosinone: the previous two dates back to 2015 (2-1 victory over Germany scored by Garritano and Gagliardini, but the match was played at the ‘Matusa’ stadium) and on 12 October 2021, when at the ‘Stirpe’ the Azzurrini drew 1-1 against Portugal (goal by Tongya and subsequent own goal by Ponsi).
