9.05pm – Franck Haise’s press conference has begun

What analysis do you make of this defeat? Can lessons be learned with these conditions?
“In the second half we conceded the third goal very early and then the conditions of the pitch were complicated. In the first half, however, we realized that we can do some good things, but we need more conviction in the two penalty areas.”

Given the conditions, had he asked to lift the ball? Was Moukoko too isolated?
“In the first half you could play football, but you can’t just play the ball in the air. In the second half it was no longer a football match, the referee at 3-1 or 4-1 would never have stopped the match, maybe he would have done it with a 1-1 result. Youssouf was the reflection of the whole team, he did some good things but he can do even better.”

What more could you have done to avoid being dominated by Lazio?
“We suffered an athletic deficit, especially on the defensive phase. We must be more aggressive and determined, especially on free kicks and corners which made the difference.”

Why did you make these lineup changes since the match against Lens?
“We have five very close matches in the space of 3-4 days, I didn’t want to make everyone play the same. Some will return to the starting lineup on Sunday against Paris SG.”

Did you lose the match in the first half because you were too clean? A comment on Dante? Who hit you from Lazio?
“Perhaps in the first half we should have been more mischievous, this malice is fundamental in football. Dante played a good match, he is not yet 41 years old and you have seen what he can still give us. Lazio is a mature team, I can’t talk about individuality but even if we did good things in the first half he ended up with the lead.”
