The prosecutors of the ultras case: “Milan anti-mafia commission misled by Inter”

Details and background information continue to emerge regarding the investigations carried out by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office having at the center of the investigation suspected illicit behavior on the part of the organized support groups in the Inter and Milan corners.

Within the request for precautionary custody for the ultras involved in the affair, prosecutors Paolo Storari and Sara Ombra wrote a passage that also places Inter’s behavior under a certain magnifying glass. In fact, we read in the documents that there was “a total underestimation of the phenomenon also by the municipal anti-mafia commission misled by FC Inter”. The reference goes to the hearings of the managers of the Nerazzurri club on 15 March in the Anti-Mafia Commission of the Municipality of Milan.

According to the prosecutors, the statements highlight “once again the total underestimation of the phenomenon investigated here and the complete detachment from the reality of the stadiumnot without considering some omissions in bad faith”. The prosecutors also noted “duality of attitude (one turned internally, where the organizational rules are predetermined, and the other turned externally, where the same rules are the subject of formal respect)”.
