Second European appointment for the Lazio by Marco Baroni, who after the success in Hamburg against Dinamo Kiev is chasing his second victory at the Olimpico against Nice. The Biancoceleste coach’s desire to rotate his squad has been confirmed, with all the players available and the idea of maintaining almost the entire lineup seen in Germany last week.
The first change will be in goal, with Mandas who this time should start from the first minute and make his seasonal debut in place of Provedel. Once Patric has finally recovered from the discomfort he suffered against Dinamo Kiev and Gigot from his shoulder problem, Baroni chooses the Spanish pair with Gila alongside Patric, giving Romagnoli a rest. Revolving doors like last week on the side lanes, with Marusic and Pellegrini taking the place of Lazzari and Tavares respectively. In midfield alongside Matias Vecino it’s Guendouzi’s turn, with Rovella able to take a breather after playing two consecutive games as a starter in four days. The attacking midfield seen in Germany is confirmed, with Pedro on the left and Tchaouna on the right taking the place of Zaccagni and Isaksen, while Dele-Bashiru will give Dia a breather, on the first bench after five consecutive games as a starter. At the center of the attack is Taty Castellanos, with Dia himself who could then enter during the race in a relay already seen in Hamburg.
LAZIO (4-2-3-1): Mandas; Marusic, Gila, Patric, Pellegrini; Guendouzi, Vecino; Tchaouna, Dele-Bashiru, Pedro; Castellanos. All. Baroni
