Matteo GuendouziLazio midfielder, spoke in a press conference from the Formello sports center ahead of tomorrow evening’s home debut in the Europa League against Nice: “We can go far in Europe, it’s a difficult competition that I’ve played several times and I’ve arrived in the final with Arsenal. We are a good team, we have excellent staff and we can do well by following their instructions. I know Nice and their coach, I had him at Lorient, he achieved excellent results with Lens. last year and demands great intensity from his team. We will have to play an important match.”
Is it your goal to also become the captain of this Lazio team?
“For me the important thing is to stay in my place, I know what I can do for the team and I can do even better. The important thing is to talk to each other a lot, no one is above the others in terms of leadership, there are many experienced players and I try to give my contribution. For the national team it is important to do well with the club, I hope to continue doing what I am doing to always earn trust in the national team too.”
