Boban does not agree with Fonseca’s reading: “Milan didn’t play for an hour”

Zvonimir Boban doesn’t agree too much with Paulo Fonseca’s reading of the match after Bayer Leverkusen-Milan 1-0: “It was the best match since I took charge of the Rossoneri”, the Portuguese manager reiterated several times in post-match interviews. An analysis which the former Croatian playmaker commented as follows: “For an hour Milan only defended, they played very little. After the goal conceded they played a good game, they freed themselves, they took courage and created difficulties to a Bayer who was tired. The analysis is not so rosy, for an hour Milan was dominated, then for half an hour Milan dominated. A strange match, I don’t think it’s right to call it phenomenal, also because you have lost. It wasn’t bad luck, Milan didn’t play football for an hour.”
