On the sidelines of the Federal Council held in Rome, the president Gabriele Gravina spoke about the investigation involving the AC Milan and Inter ultras:
Your comment on what is happening in Milan with the ultras?
“Let’s talk about the general situation, we are in the early stages because we don’t have concrete elements. It seems like a cross-section that is certainly objectionable, it is certainly a situation that gives a great turning point to the relationship between some fans and some clubs, without going into the merits or specifics because we don’t have the elements. I certainly believe that the law of the Italian state and the police bodies are carrying out a great work of support for the world of Italian football which is once again wounded, at a time when we are trying to bring together in the best possible way all the qualities of the our football. However, this gives great support to football’s need to see individuals expelled and alienated who absolutely cannot enter our world and in a show dedicated above all to families. I don’t know what the companies will risk, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office has requested the documents and will do its investigations when it receives the documents. I would be very cautious though, I have already heard commentators who have expressed ideas that are outside our rules.”
What can be done in collaboration with the government to eradicate this plague?
“The forces must certainly unite and all aim in the same direction. It is clear that the world of football does not have at its disposal the tools that the police have, we must be grateful to those who are making available all the technologies and tools needed to make our event more usable. We are available, everything that can be done must be done. The use of technology to identify all individuals who enter the stadium can no longer be postponed.”
