Champions League eve for Milan, awaiting tomorrow’s match against Bayer Leverkusen. The Rossoneri coach Paulo Fonseca he spoke like this about the match a Sky Sports: “Morata? It’s unlikely he’ll play. I don’t want to take risks because he’s not totally well, although he trained today.”

The feeling is that the wind has changed in Milan. Did you realize this at Milanello?
“The trust within the club, the fans and the players themselves has certainly changed. However, the team is still not close to what I want, we need to improve our positional play, decisions and much more. We have space and time to improve.”

Playing openly with a team that has only lost twice in 2024. Do you prepare for the match more psychologically or tactically tomorrow?
“Inter also lost only two games last year. They have a great identity, but as I tell my players, these games are opportunities and must be exploited.”

The relationship with Leao grows and improves. How are you getting on with him?
“Leao is a person who listens and wants to learn, from the first day we train together. I have total openness from him.”

How will he replace Morata?
“I can’t say everything, but Loftus-Cheek is the best chance we have to replace him.”

Did you feel the company’s trust in the difficult period before the derby? Who is your reference? Ibrahimovic or directly the owners?
“I have a good relationship with all of them. Zlatan often comes to Milanello and I speak with him, but also with Moncada, Furlani and Cardinale. Everyone has always given me confidence and calm, never anything different.”
