Frosinone, six points in seven games: never so bad in Serie B. There is only one exception

Last Friday’s victory at home to Citadel allowed the Frosinone Of Vincenzo Vivarini to breathe a sigh of relief, erasing the zero from the championship successes box.

The six points in seven days, however, remain a very small haul for a team like the Ciociaria team which, although changing a lot compared to last season in Serie A, still has the qualities within it to face a high-ranking tournament.

Such a low roadmap, the current one, that makes history. From the 2006/2007 season the first of Canaries in Serie B, in fact, such a low amount of points was recorded in the standings after seven days. Going from the eight points in 2016/2017, the tournament following the first historic adventure in the top flight, up to the 14 points achieved in 2014/2015 and 2017/2018, or in the two cadet experiences that ended with promotion to Serie A. In between, many other results medium-high level.

However, there is an exception: the one linked to the 2019/2020 season (still post relegation from the top levels) when with six points, the same as today, the team then coached by Alessandro Nestaclosed the regular tournament in eighth place, i.e. the last valid for the playoffs, but reaching the final, then lost, against Spice.

History and statistics, therefore, do not go entirely against Vivarini and his men, but a change of course is still mandatory. Right away. Starting next weekend against the Carrarese bringing up the rear.
