Flick: “Munich to forget, let’s not get depressed. Szczesny? Nobody here has a permanent job”

Hansi FlickBarcelona coach, spoke at a press conference on the eve of the Champions League match against Young Boys (scheduled for tomorrow at 9pm at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium). These are his main declarations, starting from the imminent signing of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and also from his possible role as starter awaiting the return of the injured Ter Stegen: “I’m not talking about players who are not part of the squad. There is none here no guarantee of being a starter. This is Barça.”

On the defeat suffered against Monaco on his debut in this Champions League: “The Munich match must be forgotten. Now we are without a point in the table and we are playing against a good team at home.”

On De Jong’s return: “We need fresh legs. The return of Frenkie de Jong is excellent news, even if only for five or ten minutes. It is a reason for joy for the whole team. If he gets the chance, he will play tomorrow.”

On what will be needed tomorrow. “It’s important to make few mistakes. Show our quality with the ball at our feet. When we have the ball we know how to combine, what to do.”

On tomorrow’s training: “We will play with the team we think is best to beat Young Boys. The first match was lost, yes, but we must not get depressed.”
