Vlahovic’s report cards: he responds to criticism with the language of the bomber, the goals

Lautaro calls and Dusan Vlahovic he replies. Saturday in Serie A is a sort of long-distance duel between strikers, with the Argentinian being the first to return to goal by scoring two against Udinese and the Serbian who then feels obliged to respond with a brace against Genoa. Two seals that extinguish the criticism – sometimes fair, in other cases excessive – aimed at the former Fiorentina player at the start of the season.

Only two publications reward the Serbian with a 7.5 on their report card. These are Corriere della Sera and La Repubblica, with the latter using few but significant words to describe Vlahovic’s game: “Sometimes he has days like that”.

For the rest the ratings stand at 7. TMW writes about the Juventus striker: “In the first half you can only see a free kick kicked over the crossbar in the second half taking Juve on his shoulders. Very cold from eleven meters when he unlocks the score overtaking Gollini, able to overtake Bani and score his personal double”. “He broke the deadlock on a penalty, interrupting a 393-minute fast,” Corriere dello Sport points out.
