Politano-Kvara, Monza beaten in one half: Napoli spreads their wings and flies above everyone else

Serie A has a new leader, the third in the last three matchdays: the Naples. Against Monza, those who were once the wingers decide, today with Conte we call them attacking midfielders because they go into the middle of the pitch: first Politano, then Kvaratskhelia. Everything happens in the first half and that’s enough for the Italian team to fly to the top of the table and score their fifth victory in the last six matches, also considering the Italian Cup. Conte’s hand is really starting to show and the manager’s status as team leader is not at all restrictive for the coach, given his CV.

Unlocking Politano
Courageous start to the match for Monza, who for the first phase were preferred to a rather slow and awkward Napoli. Then, little by little, the Azzurri begin to enter the game. And midway through the first half they pass with Politano. Exchange on the right between the former Inter and Lukaku, to converge. The Belgian is anticipated, but the triangle closes anyway and Politano, from a tight angle, with a left-footed shot around Turati’s hole and scores his first goal of the championship.

Kvara diesel
While Napoli grows, Kvaratskhelia – one of the most anticipated – seems to remain in the shadows. Then, however, an episode seems to unblock him mentally. And it is an important episode, because it makes it 2-0 for the Azzurri: excellent high pressure from the team and an error by Turati in construction give Napoli the double: vertical ball on McTominay, in the area, Carboni closes on the shot but in the rebound Kvara finds himself a moving penalty and doesn’t miss. From this moment, ahead by two goals, Napoli played on the edge, Kvaratskhelia caused panic on the left, but enough real goals in the first half: it ended 2-0.

All administration
The second half, thanks to the result, does not offer great emotions. Apart from a header from McTominay, which grazes the post and consequently his first goal in Serie A, little or nothing happens. It’s all management by Napoli, who continue to give crumbs to Monza: a free kick from Maldini and nothing else. For the entire central stretch of the second half the game was played mostly in midfield, we had to wait until the 88th minute to get another call from the new player Raspadori, and then until the 90th minute for the usual Neres, who also came on late. But the result doesn’t change, it ends 2-0. And that’s enough for the Maradonaat the final whistle, go wild for first place in the standings.
