Liverpool first, Slot cautious about the standings: “After 19 games he will tell me something, not after 6”

The Liverpool manager Arne Slotspoke at Match of the Daycommented on the victory over Wolverhampton which earned them the lead in the standings: “It’s always nice to win, especially away. The first 15/20 minutes weren’t fantastic. It was a really tough start for us, but in the end we took control of the game.”

Slot does not promote his team’s performance as a whole: “No, it didn’t go well, even in the last minutes of the game. For the intermediate parts, I thought we did really well. We must also give credit to Gary O’s game plan ‘Neil. Even though it seems strange, he has done really well in the last six games. We have a really good game plan for us today also scored the goal.”

On Ait-Nouri’s goal: “The goal we conceded was certainly avoidable and unnecessary. It came at the wrong time because we had total control of the match. By conceding in this way, they are back in the game and the positive thing for us is that we scored straight away to make it 2-1, with just one goal making the difference, it’s a difficult match until the end.”

On being at the top: “It’s nice, you would like to be there at the top but it doesn’t tell me much at the moment. If you look at Wolves, they are down in the table but they played much better than that today. After 19 games it will tell me something, but not after 6”.
