Juventus regains victory and Motta celebrates Vlahovic’s goals

At Marassi, Juventus returned to victory with a clear 0-3, thanks to Vlahovic’s brace and Conceicao’s first goal for Juventus. Thiago Motta, in the post-match press conference, wanted to dedicate the victory to all the Juventus people: “The victory is for ourselves because we always want to win. And also for our fans who are many and are bringing a lot of enthusiasm to a group that is working well. Together we must continue with this attitude.”

Vlahovic is released and Thiago Motta cuddles his bomber.
After three games without a goal in the league, Dusan Vlahovic scored a splendid brace that allowed Juventus to win. The Serbian striker first showed himself to be very cold from the spot, then he scored a great goal with a surgical diagonal left-footed shot following an assist from Koopmeiners. After the match, Thiago Motta once again wanted to pamper his number 9: “He was always very good. I understand the expectations and needs of a striker at this level. But as I said from the beginning, he is a positive leader who helps a lot. I’m happy because he scored but I was also happy when he didn’t. He must improve and be more connected with the team because he is an important player in many aspects of our game. He is fine and must continue to work as he is doing.”

Koopmeiners gets his first assist and comes close to scoring.
Teun Koopmeiners experienced a game with two faces. The Dutch midfielder played a subdued first half, like all of Juventus. During the second half of the game, however, the Juventus number 8 provided a splendid assist to Vlahovic, hit the crossbar from an excellent position and made a perfect volley for Conceicao’s goal. This makes it clear how important the former Atalanta player is for Thiago Motta’s team and how much he is increasingly inserting himself into the Old Lady’s offensive mechanisms. Koopmeiners, after the race, spoke about his physical condition like this: “I’m very happy to have arrived here. The first month has been wonderful, I’m very happy with the team. I want to do everything for the team. It’s important to win but I’m happy for the assist.” The Dutch midfielder also focused on Juventus’ seasonal objectives: “Scudetto? When you play for Juventus it’s important. When you have a new team it’s important to look game by game, it’s certain that we always want to win. But we also have to learn. We’re on right path”.
