Genoa-Juventus 0-3, the report cards: Vlahovic wakes up, Conceiçao scores, Vitinha bad

Final result: Genoa-Juventus 0-3

GENOA
Gollini 6 – He manages to remove Nico Gonzalez’s pass from the net on the right wing. In the second half nothing can be done about Vlahovic’s penalty kick and the other two goals from the Juventus team.

DeWinter 5 – Ready to double Yildiz when Zanoli was perhaps missed in the first half. He often comes out to tackle his opponent, but he widens his arm too much causing the penalty that gives Juventus the lead and goes downhill from there.

Bani 5.5 – He blocks the Juventus conclusions by throwing himself almost body-first, takes a hit with McKennie but resists stoically. In the second half he left too much space for Vlahovic when he scored the second goal.

Vasquez 6 – The young Ahnor helps a lot on his side, he manages to control Koopmeiners’ offensives well, following him almost man-to-man. We see less of him in the proactive phase, put under more pressure in the second half.

Zanoli 5 – Face Yildiz with great confidence. Confident in closing when called upon. He too, like the whole team, declines in the long run as the minutes pass. From 84′ Sabelli sv

Frendrup 5.5 – He puts too much force into pressing Nico Gonzalez when he gets a yellow card. Perpetual motion when he has his breath, then as the minutes pass, also thanks to a growing Juventus, we see less of him and the team suffers.

Badelj 6 – He makes some mistakes in the setup phase but in the non-possession phase he immediately starts very strong. Forced to leave the field due to an adductor problem. From 25′ Bohinen 5.5 – He comes in cold due to the injury to Badelj. In the second half they struggled a lot when Juve started to get going. Looks for a shot from distance but finds distance.

Miretti 5.5 – The former matchday player makes his first appearance from the first minute wearing the rossoblù shirt. He moves well between the midfield and offensive lines. However, there were few ideas towards Perin’s goal. From 68′ Kasa 6 – Another rookie fielded by Mr. Alberto Gilardino, born in 2005. He has the merit of warming up Perin’s gloves with a long-range shot.

Ahnor 6 – This is Gilardino’s surprise move for this evening’s match. He shows great personality when he pushes his way, earning several set pieces. Some mistakes in defense but it must be said that on his side there is a certain Nico Gonzalez and then Conceiçao. From 68′ Matturro 5 – He enters but is unable to stem Conceiçao’s run on his side. He tightens too much on the occasion of Conceiçao’s goal.

Pinamonti 6 – He never gives up. He fights for every ball with great determination without ever sparing himself. Instead he finds a wall of black and white shirts inside the penalty area but calls Perin to make a great save at the end.

Vitinha 5 – When his team defends it spreads out into the right lane. Little in the heart of the action, he is practically never seen at the moment in which Gilardino’s team should finish on goal and makes some mistakes in his suggestions. From 68′ Ankeye 5 – It is practically never seen in his team’s offensive action.

Alberto Gilardino 5.5 – His Genoa lasts a while. After playing a strong first half of the match, he succumbed to the quality of Juventus. Three consecutive knockouts if we also count the Italian Cup are a boulder but his Genoa can and must get back up.

JUVENTUS
Perin 6.5 – Always ready to guide the defense with his instructions. Precise in his exits and in restarting the action from the bottom as his coach wants. Save on Pinamonti in the final.

Danilo 6.5 – On his side there is the young Ahnor who pushes but tries not to be surprised with the strength of experience. Confident on high balls, he appears intermittently on the right wing, leaving more space for Nico Gonzalez.

Bremer 7 – Controls the rossoblù forwards well using his physicality and his distance inside the penalty area. He gives his opponents little space by blocking their way.

Kalulu 7 – A security at the center of the defense. He risks practically nothing, he raises his center of gravity in the phase of setting up the action, helping the midfielders in their construction. From 73′ Savona 6 – He often runs down the left and his cross gives rise to an opportunity for Vlahovic’s head.

Rouhi 6 – Yet another young player launched by coach Thiago Motta in this part of the season. A full-back, he often breaks free to get from the back even if his crosses don’t always reach their destination. From 73′ Cambiaso 6 – A quarter of an hour plus very tidy recovery for one of the many exes of the evening and Genoese by birth.

Beans 6.5 – Always very close to the action, he often looks for a change of play from one side of the pitch to the other but always horizontally. In the second half he is more in the heart of the game.

McKennie 6 – Swap with Rouhi on his side. He tries to break Genoa’s game and enter the opponent’s area with consistency. A game of sacrifice, he doesn’t look out of place in the match at Marassi. From 61′ Douglas Luiz 6.5 – Safe in the middle of the field, he gets the ball to start the well-reasoned maneuver with Fagioli.

Nico Gonzalez 6.5 – On his side there is Ahnor who creates more than one problem for him. Then he takes the stage by showing good plays and making himself dangerous. From 61′ Conceicao 7 – He comes in and immediately shows what he’s made of, creating an opportunity that Koopmeiners wastes. He scores the goal that closes the match at the end.

Koopmeiners 7 – He floats between the lines without however finding the right pace to hurt the Grifone rearguard in the first half. In the second half he found more space and from one of these he delivered a brilliant ball for Vlahovic for the second goal. He could stamp and close the games but incredibly hits the crossbar.

Yildiz 6.5 – After a first half in which he was faced well by the rossoblù defense he increased his tone causing the handball which generated Vlahovic’s goal. From 73′ Thuram 6.5 – He enters the match with a header that ends high over the crossbar. Solid in containing the rossoblù’s actions, his cross gave rise to Conceiçao’s 3-0.

Vlahovic 7 – In the first half we only saw a free kick kicked over the crossbar and in the second half we took Juve on our shoulders. Very cool from eleven meters when he unlocks the score by overcoming Gollini, capable of overcoming Bani and scoring his personal double.

Thiago Motta 7 – His Juventus gets back to scoring and wins the three points. After a subdued first half, he improved in the second half, showing good game patterns. The gearboxes give an extra gear.
