Manuel CicconiCarrarese’s midfielder, comments on the Apuan club’s official channels on the goalless draw with Reggiana:
“We had an excellent match, what we saw on the pitch showed that today we deserved the victory, despite the fact that we were facing a strong and tactically well-organised team. The coach’s choice to make the midfield thicker paid off, in fact, we managed to find our balance on the pitch and grant few opportunities to a team known for its offensive propensity. There is bitterness for the end of the match, in which, with better luck, we could have found the opening goal, but, despite this, we proudly bring home a point that moves our ranking and a level performance.
From a personal point of view, I am satisfied with the contribution made to the team in the match, also because not all matches are the same and as against Sassuolo, since there is more space, players with my characteristics have the opportunity to perform better. We must set ourselves the goal of continuing with this mentality, which is why we will return to training immediately with the determination of those who want to return to the three points as soon as possible.”
