Bologna-Atalanta 1-1, the report cards: Castro and Samardzic delight, Lucumí naive

Final result: Bologna-Atalanta 1-1

BOLOGNA (edited by Marco Pieracci)

Skorupski 6.5 – Great save with his foot at the start, he closes the door in Lookman’s face. He surrenders only to the parable drawn by Samardzic.
Posch 6.5 – Aggressive in marking, he makes a big splash on Lookman. Proactive in the possession phase, he always offers support on the right.
Beukema 6 – The lack of a fixed reference makes things less simple for him, the red in Lucumi increases the difficulty level but it holds up.
Lights 5 – Rocky in duels, he is the leader of the gang behind but the only mistake costs him dearly. He leaves his teammates inferior.
Lykogiannis 6 – Punctual in the cross area, keeping sharp crosses. He doesn’t let himself be put down by Bellanova, who immediately takes his measurements.
Aebischer 6 – Linear in the plays, without variations on the theme: the first concern is to guarantee the right balance for the team. From 68′ Erlic 6 – Cleans up the penalty area.
Freuler 6 – The start is a handicap, after a handful of seconds he gets a heavy yellow. He handles it with experience and strong nerves.
Fabbian 5 – Not exactly the ideal match for an attacking midfielder, he remains out of the maneuver by touching a small number of balls. From 46′ Urbanski 6 – He enters well, but gives the left foot to Samardzic.
Orsolini 5.5 – A little selfish in some situations, he becomes too stubborn in his personal action, infuriating Castro only in the center of the area. From 54′ Farmhouse 6 – Inside to lock down the department.
Castro 7 – Movements of a thoroughbred attacker, he stresses Djimsiti in a very physical duel. The first opportunity fails, not the second. Little Lautaros grow up. From 68′ Dallinga 5.5 – He can’t keep the team up.
Ndoye 6.5 – Little space for his classic bursts in the open field, Kolasinac slows down his momentum. He talks well when scoring. From 80′ Holm sv
Vincenzo Italiano 6 – The chess match with Gasperini develops in the way most congenial to him, he gets the moves right but Lucumi’s expulsion blows everything up. Given how things were going, in the end it was more regret for the two points lost than for the one gained.

ATALANTA (edited by Marco Pieracci)

Carnesecchi 6 – Unemployed for the entire first half, he is never called into question. He doesn’t seem to have any responsibility on the network taken.
Koussonou 6 – Great physical exuberance, perhaps to be trimmed down a bit. He gets up to create numerical superiority, but fails to close on Castro. From 63′ Retegui 5.5 – Little sought after, it doesn’t sting.
Djimsiti 5 – The up-and-coming Castro is a customer as annoying as a mosquito on sultry summer nights, buzzing all over him. Bad on the goal.
Kolasinac 6 – He doesn’t just defend, he throws himself in whenever he can. The overlapping with which he sets the table for Brescianini is beautiful. From 79′ Zaniolo sv
Bellanova 5.5 – He often enters the field, hits the crossbar. He is not yet the devastating winger admired in the Torino shirt. From 63′ Square 6 – Increase the voltage.
De Roon 6 – The closure on Orsolini was providential, good defensive synchronization with Kossounou who went to cover when he launched forward.
Ederson 6 – Serial recoverer of balls, the midfield is his terrain of reconquest: as per practice he eradicates a lot of them from his opponents.
Ruggeri 5.5 – He loses a bad ball, allowing Posch to be clearly anticipated. It doesn’t push enough compared to the usual standards. From 79′ Pasalic sv
Brescianini 5.5 – In the absence of a real center forward, he often becomes the most advanced reference: he gets hurt in the best action. From 45′ Samardzic 7- Uncommon ballistic abilities: he immediately polishes the left shot, invents the equalizer on his own.
De Ketelaere 6.5 – He starts from the right to unleash his creative streak: he puts Lookman face to face with Skorupski, causes Lucumi to get a red card.
Lookman 6 – He only lights up in flashes and suffers from Bologna’s aggressiveness. He doesn’t make proper use of the first big opportunity of the match.
Gian Piero Gasperini 6 – He tries to surprise Italiano by starting without a 9 in his role, inserts all the attackers together for a desperate final assault and manages to avoid the fourth defeat in six days at the last minute. The reaction with the extra man was late.
