Sassuolo, Pierini: “Am I more wide than in Venice? Grosso decides, but I love playing between the lines”

The Sassuolo doesn’t break through: 0-0 against Spezia at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia, with the teams now third and second respectively in the standings (12 points for the neroverdi, 13 for the aquilotti). At the end of the challenge Nicholas Pieriniwho arrived at the end of the summer from Venezia in black and green, spoke at the press conference as reported by SassuoloNews.net: “I don’t think it’s our fault. They were good at defending themselves throughout the match. We could have done something more but when you find these teams that defend so well at the back, everyone struggles.”

You have played many roles, in Venice last year you played more central, today you played high on the right. Where are you best?
“I’ve played all the attacking roles, even the attacking midfielder, I like to play more as a central midfielder now but I play where the coach wants. I like playing between the lines more, but I put myself where I need it, at the coach’s disposal” .

How are you finding yourself here in Sassuolo?
“I feel good. I did my retreat in Venice, on a physical level I have no problems. For the tactical positions here I always played with the 4-3-3 so I more or less know things, then being here training after training with the coach we talk, we tell each other our ideas and we improve.”
