Juventus, Thiago Motta: “The second half was much better, Vlahovic is a positive leader”

Thiago Motta, Juventus coach, spoke to the microphones of DAZN after the victory on the Genoa pitch:

“Yildiz, by coming to play inside and freeing the wingers, found himself in a better situation to play, but it wasn’t just this that changed the game in the second half. The second half was better, it’s evident, but after the lead, with the strong players we have, it becomes difficult for the opponents. We continued to play well, creating chances. Everyone performed well, both those who started from the first minute and those who came on as substitutes strong people who together can become even stronger.

It has never happened before that Juventus did not concede a goal in the first six matchdays.
“It’s an interesting and important fact, we are a solid team. We have strong defenders, but the defensive phase is a team effort. Today we didn’t concede a goal because we defended together, with great generosity, always helping each other. I’m happy because it’s a very important fact for a team that wants to aspire to important things.”

Vlahovic?
“He’s a positive leader, also in communication and body language. Sometimes he needs to improve and be more in tune with the group, but he’s a guy who always gives his all. Changes exist, but it’s not that I’m not happy when I replaced him. I always see well, he is a very important player for us, he must continue like this.”
