Serie B, Partipilo with his spoon gives Frosinone their first success: 2-1 at Cittadella

On the seventh day, Frosinone’s first championship victory arrived at the end of a match at times dominated by the Ciociari, but which Cittadella was able to keep alive until the end, however failing to find the second goal which would have earned the draw.

From the first minutes the Ciociaria team demonstrated that they took to the field with a different spirit than in the past, with greater aggression and desire even if the first real opportunity was for the home team who in the 24th minute challenged Cerofolini with Salvi from outside the area. Ten minutes later, however, the visitors took the lead Anthony Oyono who from a corner soars higher than anyone and scores his first goal in 22 Serie B matches. In the final, Frosinone also scores the second goal with Distefano, but VAR reports the attacker’s offside, leading the referee to cancel the network.

In the second half the guests pushed harder again, coming close to scoring again with Distefano and then finding the penalty thanks to Ambrosino who anticipated Angeli, forcing him into the foul. It goes from the diskette Anthony Partipilo who ‘homages’ Totti with a spoon that makes it 2-0. The doubling awakens Cittadella who ten minutes later closes the gap with the new substitute Claudio Cassano good at anticipating Oyono and beating Cerofolini. In the final, the Venetians went on the attack, collecting corner kicks and frightening the Lazio rearguard, who however resisted and brought home three precious points which also made coach Vivarini breathe a sigh of relief.
