Inter, budget project approved: -38 million (but with many sales). A year ago it was at -85

Another year of improvement for Giuseppe Marotta’s Inter. In the season of the handover from Zhang to Oaktree – which took place last May – the Nerazzurri recorded a deficit decidedly lower than that of the previous year. From -85 in 2022-23 to -38 in 2023-24. A situation that was not to be taken for granted, given that the Istanbul final with Manchester City had led to a significant increase in takings, both from Champions League prizes and from the box office, with very high figures in particular from the round of 16 to the semi-finals: three games and almost 30 million euros. A circumstance that was not repeated last year after the defeat against Atletico Madrid.

The transfers have kept the bar straight. Like those of Onana and Brozovic, but also of several “young” players who could not find space in the first team. The trend is certainly positive, but we will have to see if it will be confirmed next season, given that on the one hand there have not been the same expenses, but not even the same income from sales and capital gains.

This is the note on the matter from the Nerazzurri club. “The Board of Directors of FC Internazionale Milano SpA has approved the draft financial statements for the 2023/24 fiscal year, at the end of the meeting held yesterday at the Club’s headquarters. The financial statements will be submitted for approval by the Shareholders’ Meeting of FC Internazionale Milano SpA, which will be convened for the end of October.”
