Catania, Toscano: “We need to be more incisive. Sturaro? Let’s hope it’s nothing serious”

Dominic TuscanCatania coach, comments in a press conference on the goalless draw with Audace Cerignola in the match played yesterday: “First half played well with intensity, pace and many opportunities to take the lead. In the last two games we were guilty of not being incisive and nastiness in front of goal. In the second half, however, we did not have the same pace and it is in these cases that we need to raise the level, maintain the same intensity for 95 minutes. In the last three games we have met healthy clubs, the standings say so. We need to grow and improve especially in the last 20 meters and in the continuity of the game.

Performances matter because if they improve, results come. We are not even very lucky with injuries and with the mandatory substitutions in the first half, penalizing us in the use of slots in the second half. Sturaro? It’s a shame because he was doing very well, both in terms of performances and leadership. He received a rough tackle, to say the least, and we hope it’s nothing serious with his knee”.
