During his interview with Sports Courierthe Fiorentina midfielder Edward Bove he also spoke about Rome and Roma, focusing especially on his relationship with José Mourinho. Then, a thought also for the internal ‘derby’ with Danilo Cataldia player who arrived like him in the last days of the transfer market from Lazio.
“Mourinho was the coach who launched me and valorised me, it is difficult to even describe in words how important he was for me. He gave me the chance to enter the football of the big boys, he believed in me and in my qualities. I can only thank him”, explained Bove regarding his relationship with the Special One, underlining the great feeling that had been created with the Portuguese coach.
Then the move on to teammate Danilo Cataldi, an opponent in many derbies between Roma and Lazio in the past:
“Yes, it’s a curious thing and it’s often rightly highlighted, because people are interested in understanding what happened. Our paths, like it or not, were similar and then they were interrupted: both, however, left something in the respective clubs where we grew up. And here in Florence with Danilo I feel very good not only on the pitch: he’s a fantastic guy”.
