Bologna: “There are no problems for Sartori’s renewal, we’ll talk about it as soon as the time comes”

On the sidelines of the press conference to present Iling Jr and Dominguez, the Bologna CEO, Claudio Fenucciintervened to talk about Bologna’s summer market but not only: Where are we with Sartori’s renewal? There are no problems with Giovanni’s renewal. As soon as the time comes we will talk about it, but we are for continuity of management. It was the same for me too”.

Have you created a market that is all about sustainability?
“Bologna with its financial availability cannot afford strong, young players with experience in the Champions League, so we focused on players who met certain characteristics. We made investments, like Cambiaghi, and then looked at the resources we have this year but also next year in compliance with sustainability not only in sport but also in economic terms”.

Can you say what the realistic goal of this team is today?
“I never liked talking about goals. Today the goal is to win the match against Atalanta, which is how we achieved what we achieved last year. We want to continue entertaining our fans, and that’s what Italiano and the guys are working on”

This year have you thought about making different investments than in past years?
“We wanted to make investments with the idea of respecting financial parameters, closing a balanced purchase campaign because we also have to think about the purchase of Castro which has an impact on this market”.

Is there an idea to remain at high levels in Italian football?
“The idea is there. The Atalanta example is that of a club that has done an extraordinary job that I think is difficult for anyone to replicate. Our biggest concern is precisely that of facing Atalanta on Sunday. Looking to the future, the objective is to create a well-structured club, that also invests in the facilities and in the technical part… so we have the ambition to be a club that can play its part in the Italian championship”.
