Jacobelli: “Roma, why doesn’t the club talk to the fans?”

Guest of TMW Radioduring Maracanawas the director Xavier Jacobelli.

Italy, championship starts without a real owner:
“We are only on the fifth day. It is an intriguing championship, the Toro has not found the lead alone since 1976 and it says a lot about Vanoli and his group. Behind, however, there is a large group with many big teams that have not taken action. The European commitments are having an impact and will do so later on. You cannot expect a team that radically changes leadership and players to be immediately on the ball. Time will tell. You cannot go from the post-City praise to the current dramas at Inter, putting Inzaghi and the team on the grill. We need much more balance”.

Rome, what do you think of the Friedkin statement?
“I don’t think this statement changes the state of things. They wanted to reassure the fans after the purchase of Everton, but you don’t need a statement to do that. But why don’t they talk and explain to the fans everything that happened? They invested billions of euros, but if they don’t understand the fans… they were disrespectful, disrespectful, towards a symbolic player and now coach. De Rossi was the only one who could ease the tension after Mourinho’s dismissal. There are business-related logics regarding the purchase of Everton, but on Roma there are no words about the new coach, about the CEO who resigned. I hope that after this statement they move from words to action. But I still don’t understand why they don’t talk to the fans”.

Is there a Scudetto syndrome at Inter?
“Confirming yourself at this level is always complicated. For Inter, a defeat like the one in the derby cannot make us reconsider our judgments.”
