The lawyer Edward Chiacchioan expert in sports law, commented on the decision of ‘Radio Marte’ Mario Rui to contact the AIC to be reinstated in the squad. The Portuguese full-back, out of the Conte project, trains alone in Castel Volturno after having refused several destinations: “Has the Portuguese warned Napoli? The player evidently sees his use compromised or prejudiced with regards to preparation and training, being considered out of the squad. In this case, the club has five days, from the notification of the warning, to provide for the reinstatement, assuming that the reinstatement is necessary. The player has the right not only to train with his teammates and to use the same facilities as the First Team, but also in the same places and at the same times, asking to participate in technical and tactical exercises, as well as the practice matches: all of this constitutes a strong cause for contention, because the Arbitration Panel will have to decide whether the club exercises mobbing by not allowing the player to participate in the exercises. This is an example of what, in general, is a cause for great discussion”, his words reported by ‘AreaNapoli’.
Then in another passage Chiacchio added: “What does Napoli risk? Compensation for damages, at the minimum expected 20% of the gross annual contract, in the event of proven mobbing by the club. It should be noted that technical decisions are the exclusive responsibility of the coach: the club cannot intervene in the choices of the manager”.
And finally: “How will it end, in my opinion? I don’t know, but experience tells me that if the situation can be fixed, it will be done: the club will not want to pay 20%.”
