Marco Buccimayor of Genoa, spoke on the sidelines of the meeting with Alberto Gilardino and Andrea SottilGenoa and Sampdoria coaches, at Palazzo Tursi. In fact, Wednesday will see the Derby della Lanterna, which has been missing for several years as the two clubs have always met in different categories. The stage will be that of the Coppa Italia round of 32, with the Luigi Ferraris stadium ready to welcome the two sets of fans. These are his words: “Football matches are beautiful things and a good sign for our city that wants to watch sporting events, with enthusiasm. The derby must be like this, we want it to be beautiful and there to be a party. My appeal to the fans is not to do things that are not right, you have to go to the stadium with families and children in peace, to party. Education is needed, because maybe someone wants to go to Marassi to do things that are not allowed”.

What can you tell us about the possible new stadium?
“We want to build it, we are working hard and by the end of the year we want to have a project in hand to start and be ready for 2032. On Wednesday I will go to the stadium and we will talk about this too.”

Is there anything planned for public order?
“You don’t have to talk to me about it, I’m not responsible.”
